Bolognese is a meat-based tomato sauce. The sauce is prepared with sautéed vegetables and minced meat.
It originates from the region around Bologna. This sauce is used to dress flat type pasta such as tagliatelle or pappardelle and to prepare lasagna. It is perfect with spaghetti.
